I've been working on a program for quite a while, and then, unexpectedly, when trying to compile, it failed to do so. compilelog.txt contained the following: e:/program files (x86)/qb64/qb64/internal/c/c_compiler/bin/../lib/gcc/i686-w64-mingw32/4.7.1/../../../../i686-w64-mingw32/bin/ld.exe: reopening ..\..\object-det.exe: Permission denied
e:/program files (x86)/qb64/qb64/internal/c/c_compiler/bin/../lib/gcc/i686-w64-mingw32/4.7.1/../../../../i686-w64-mingw32/bin/ld.exe: final link failed: Permission denied
collect2.exe: error: ld returned 1 exit statusTo resolve the issue, I saved the program, exited and re-entered QB64, loaded the program and it then compiled without issue. Having a workaround, the issue is an inconvenience, rather than a showstopper, but I'm posting this here for two reasons: - in case others come across the same issue and the workaround helps, or
- someone already knows the cause, and (potentially) a fix

If you are on Windows and that e:/program files (x86)/... said c:/... instead, I'd advise you to get the QB64 files/folders out of a folder Windows thinks it owns.
e:/... is that an OS on a flashdrive?
